Reading AppsEpic is one of my favorite reading apps. Parents can create an account for only $7.99 per month and add their children to access digital books of various subjects, interests and reading ability. Students can access "Read To Me" type of text to listen to audio books or just read independently.
Classroom Teachers on the other hand, can create their FREE classroom account, add their students and provide them access to a wide library of reading material including fiction and nonfiction text. |
Math and ScienceCk-12 an open access non profit organization providing Math, Science and many other subjects. Here Teachers can create their FREE account, create their class and provide an alternative learning resources beside the traditional textbook and worksheets to learn math and science. Anyone can learn here for free. Users of Google Classroom can easily embed a lesson or activity within their Google Classroom.
Khan Academy, a non-profit organization providing open source learning material for various subjects, and age groups. As I introduce this site to students, we discuss independent learning and how empowers students who seek knowledge for their own learning goals. Absolutely the treasure box for math teachers. With a teacher dashboard, you can create groups, manage courses and content by topic or skill. Teachers can view students progress and provide support where needed. They also can easily differentiate instruction using the resources provided here.
